Critical points of claims handling

With the conclusion of the insurance contract, the lessee (user driver) also has obligations, having significant effect on the settlement of claims. What are these and what should the users do?

When claiming damages, the claims reporting procedure set out in the lease and operating framework agreement concluded between ALD Automotive and the lessee should be followed. Damage should be reported on the appropriate claim form to one of ALD Automotive's contracted repair partners, where the subsequent repairs will take place. The claim form should always describe the true events happening during the insurance event and the true and actual injuries shall be indicated on it. The reporting should take place within 2 days of the event, according to the framework lease and operating contract.

The claim process and reporting requirements are independent of whether the claimant caused or suffered the damage. In the event of damage suffered, it is also necessary to fill in the European Accident Reporting Form accurately, where you have to carefully enter correct information and create a site drawing. If an additional form (Casco) is to be completed during the administration, it shall take place in accordance with the previous claim form (GFB).

Any damage caused by an accident can only be reported once, when the case has been reported and closed, it is not possible to change the circumstances of the incident afterwards, according to the insurance contract.

It is important that when using the schematic drawing feature of the form, you should create the exact site drawing, write the exact description of the incident and indicate the actual damage in the appropriate places. By signing the claim form, the person filling in the form confirms that “the information provided above is true”, therefore it is always the claimant (the user driver) to fill in the claim form, in order to indicate the actual circumstances and injuries. It is a good idea to take some photos at the scene of the accident, as these images may clarify future disputes.

If the description of the damage and the damage visible on the car are not compatible technically, the damage cannot be paid, it will be rejected, as all insurance contracts include the insured's actual obligation to provide true information, and violation may result in the damage claim being rejected.

We specifically request everyone that the claim report should be completed in each case by the driver involved in the accident, carefully, and considering the details in advance.

In case of questions related to the filling of the claim form, please contact Driver Desk at driverdesk.hu@aldautomotive.com e-mail address or call them at 06-1-802-5800. Our colleagues are happy to assist you with filling the form.

We wish you a safe and accident-free journey!
